Jaikara Food Bank

If you need help from our food bank there are a few simple steps to follow.

If a family feels that they are struggling to put food on the table, they will need to complete a referral form to get access to our food bank. Agencies such as Citizens Advice, G. P’s, housing support officers, children’s centres, health visitors, social services and other local charities can also make a referral on behalf of a family in need.

If we can help, we will get in contact and provide you with a list of opening times so you can collect food. When you arrive, our trained volunteers will discuss any dietary needs you might have, and you will be supplied with a parcel of two days of emergency food.

A Standard food parcel includes:-

Breakfast cereals

Pasta sauce

Tinned meat

Tinned vegetables

Tinned fruit

Tea or coffee

We will also help to support you in any other ways that we can, and our aim is to provide non-judgemental support for all families in crisis.

We  also support families who rely on local organisations and women  living in  refuge and temporary accommodations. We are always looking for donations for any of our projects.

For more information about any of these projects please contact us.
